The Necks meets Cage's Freeman Etudes performed by Arditti. Which I wouldn't have thought would make any sense, even though both are in the highest reaches of my musical Pantheon. But, it's on its own new plane of music, an absolute masterpiece of composition and performance, transcending any theory. So that's track 1... Track 2 is the piece which introduced me to Sarah Hennies at the Miller Theatre and which blew my mind and made me search far and wide for recordings of her music. Perfect.
